Brothers, families and friends,

Thank you for the continued support of the campaign for the 100th Anniversary!

The 100th Anniversary committee was pleased by the response to our last letter that was sent out in March 2009. We received many new donations and some old pledges are being fulfilled. We plan on sending these letters out quarterly. They well serve two purposes. One, as a reminder for pledges and/or new donations, and two, a way of updating everyone of the progress of the committee.

The 100th Anniversary committee’s last couple of meetings were very productive in regards to prioritizing some of the improvements to the building. So far, beautifying the main front windows of the building, and replacing all the second floor windows, refinishing the upstairs hardwood floors, and replacing ceiling tiles, were approved, and we are happy to report, these projects were completed. Stop by and see!

What we will be needing is more help. If you are interested, contact John Simons PGK, hvkfcjbo@optonline.net or (845)297-3278. Or better yet, attend a anniversary meeting or council meeting. We will find a place for you to participate no matter how much time you have to offer. Take a active part of our centennial!

The 100th Anniversary Committee was formed in 2003. Giving us nearly 10 years to prepare for this milestone. Many new members have joined us. We asked for donations and or pledges to be used specifically for updates and or improvements to the Council Building in honor of our 100th birthday. The list of some of those items include: KITCHEN UPGRADES, LIGHTED MARQUE, AWNING FOR FRONT DOORWAY, BANQUET HALL UPGRADE, BAR UPGRADE, BACK YARD PAVILLION, ENHANCE UPSTAIRS & WINDOWS, AND 100TH ANNIVERSARY PLAUQUE / STATUE. We would focus on having as many of the enhancements completed prior to our celebration, so we will be ready for our next 100 years. And also to have funds put aside for the actual day of the celebration.

So if you are a seasoned member, or a new member, please donate to the 100th Anniversary fund. And lets honor our organization and everything its stands for.
